The CHWiin office performs all of the following functions for CHW-related intellectual property and technologies:

• Educates the CHW community about the value of intellectual property and innovation;
• Facilitates collaboration between CHW and industry partners;
• Maintains a database of all disclosed inventions;
• Manages patent and copyright prosecution and maintenance;
• Markets novel inventions and technologies;
• Negotiates industry-related agreements (confidentiality, material transfer, sponsored research, license agreements);
• Distributes royalty income derived from technology transfer among inventors and their institutions
